Hi there. This is what we want to do:



The pics in the blue field are really 12 pics. We want them in a table with a scrollbar, just showing the top 4. When clicking on the pics, you will end up on the page were you can view the scene. The red field shall be unchanged, whatever scene you click.

What is the best way to do this?

mmm... that makes it hard huh. Probably doable in j_ava_scr_ipt, but I think it's easier to find out if i_fr_a_mes are allowed first.

Is I_FRA_MEs compatible with all browsers? read somewhere that they only worked with IE...

I can do this using SSI if someone could tell how to get the blue field a fixed size with a scrollbar...

It's supposed to be a champ-members area, why would we want to send them somewhere else when they want to see a scene they've paid 30 bucks to watch?

Anyway, could you please elaborate on that "nested" table?

Anyway, just read up on "nested" tables. Never heard that word "nested" before... That's not what we need. We need to make the left table a set amount of pixels in width and height with a scrollbar. The reason for this is that when new episodes are added, they will go in top of that table. With 20 episodes that table will be pretty long, and that's not good.

So, anyone wanna help?

She's just following the CHAMPS rules, but instead of making it a shitty 'membersarea' she tries to give if a different look than the other zillion CHAMP membersarea.


Oh and BTW just so you know, she was one of the most succesfull BYOT designers on ARS old style, so I think SHE DOES know what she's doing. And I have much more respect for people that ask for help than for ignorant fucks that think they know it all.

Awright I will go into this a little further so I do not come off like a total dick. I take some pride in that BTW.

But...

It sounds like ya did well with BYOT from Daves respone, that good.
Looks like your tackling a Membrship section.

My oppostion to this is simple.
How do you intend to move forward? I mean Maybe ya figured out how to do tours, but you really didnt figure anything out other than making the tour.
You never saw how the traffic part works.
thats 3/4's the fight doing tours. So ya hurt yourself there.

Now your off to a members area.
1/2 of the battle in a members area is working in upsells.
Thus why I asked my first question about what you are doing.

In this business my first suggestion to anyone is to expose your self to everything that is going on when you do somthing not just get 1/2 the picture. You need the full picture to grow and make more money.

The thing with CHAMPs is that they don't allow upsells. Therefore the only goal here is to build a simple members area that's easy to update but yet unique enough to retain the members.

We have started to plan for our own paysite, but before doing that, this is just one way of getting experience. And as you say, without enough knowledge, you're fucked.
