Help NEEDED ASAP

bought a new graphics card today a
Msi Geforce fx5600 series
fx6500xt-td256
256 ddr

i installed the motherfucker and then it called my card
fx6500SE not fx6500xt
so ok i took the latest drivers from the website and now i got the right name on the shit but my fucking computer frezzes on me
when i try to start a game or see a pic or listen to music
even when the fucking icq is loading it frezzes on me

wtf is the problem??
help please

I don't know. Go into Safe Mode. Uninstall the drivers and redownload them. Make sure you got the right ones.

beacuse the drivers from the cd was not the right ones

What sound board do you have?

Sound boards and graphics cards are known to conflict at times. I would move the sound card to different slots and see what happens.

i have a hercules sound card

and they have different irq 16 and 17 but i dont know if thats important or not but hmm

I just know with my sound card and graphics card I had issues, too.

My sound card HAS to be in slot 5 or I have problems (or nothing works). This is a Soundblaster card, though.
