Quebec Videotron users here!?

Trying to figure out if its the videotron connection that is taking time outs or something.... My Icq works for 5 sec.. then stop for 20 minutes.. always deconnecting... and sometimes my downloads stop after couple of seconds... Pages often dont download completely...

Any Videotron users experiencing the same?

Only had 1/2 hour downtime two weeks ago. My ICQ is working fine.

Must be the router problems they are experiencing (not your local one, but from videotron).

yeah... it feels like its a weak signal or something like that... because the internet is always working... no problem surfing the web... but I sometimes have problems dowloading files, ICQ, FTP.. like if for a fraction of second.. the signal is too weak.. im getting disconected or timed out....

yeah I looked... read the entire thread on DNS... but they didnt really described my problem.. will try it though... thanks

We're fine over here.. for now anyways lol. Videotron always has problems I find though. We were with Bell but we got tired of their shit pretty fast so we went with Videotron.

DNS? Huh?

No, it has nothing to do with the DNS servers.. Look for threads about Connections Loss and Time outs..
