Gotta say, selling software to surfers that gets rid of pop-ups is about as bright as selling software that hides the join page on paysites. They both affect our bottom line whether we realize it or not.
A huge chunk of the money made in this biz is from exit consoles and trying to make money off reducing the money made by exit consoles cannot be good for us all.
If sponsors were making less money from exit console sales they would not be able to keep paying what they currently pay. Exit console revenue supplements the costs of doing business and help keep a lot of programs afloat.
Not sure what idiot thought this was a good idea but I sure hope to hell that these types of programs do not catch on with webmasters OR surfers..

So basically since 99.9% of the sponsors use exit consoles they are not making an honest living and we should say fuck them?
You evidently have no clue how this biz works.
Short-sighted people that think that way are going to fuck this biz up. They are the same mindset as the people who think that giving away free porn on TGP's is good for the biz.
I am against excessive pop-ups just like most people, but when used right they can be good and help to bring in tons of $.

Imagine this scenario: Pop-up killer programs catch on and start to affect the amount of money sponsors make from exit consoles. Sponsors realize they have to make up the lost income somewhere so they begin to shave or "count creatively" just a little more and increase as the income from exit consoles dips farther. Everyone makes less money..
This is a simplified version but it is a true picture of what these types of programs could possibly do to the biz.
I personally know the people who handle exit consoles for many of the large sponsors and this concern is not mine alone.
But then I'm sure you guys could care less about the industry and are only watching out for yourself...hope you survive
