Upgrading ICQ? + Problems

I've read that upgrading ICQ will cost you your contect list due to database conversion probs.

Any thruth to that?

My ICQ keeps crashing every day, I have reinstalled it 5 times, but it really doesn't help.
Maybe upgrading is the only chance of gitting it more stable.

Yip thats correct.
Been so long though I forgot how to add
contact list to new ICQ...

Just back up the whole ICQ Dir.

Then find the convert database in the new one

I upgraded without problems, on the first try.

make sure you do a back up and then just upgrade, import the db and everything should be fine.
