it's not brain surgery, maybe you don't work hard enough - there are hundreds of tutorials on design, HTML, CSS, DHTML for free out there in Googleland.

unless you're a designer, not being able to make anything more than a simple webpage isn't important. Look at the Hun, look at SleazyDream, look at quiet's site and lots more examples .... you don't need flashy design skills to succeed, in fact i will guarantee you there is an inverse relationship between design skills and financial success in this business. Those who make the most money can't design/code anything for shit ..... those who can design and code the best make amongst the worst livings in this biz with a few exceptions.

nowadays it doesnt really matter.. moreso if you pull in enough to have employees who do all this shit for you...

back when i started i had no choice but to make webpages in notepad, etc....

Ah, I thought it was ebay (but I guess they started a bit earlier). Actually ebay is a great example, awesome company with an absolutely pig ugly 1990's site.

Its funny. Cuz I think thehun & shemp are VERY basic & simple. But their the top tgp sites on the net... I've crafted my skills as a designer but I'm starting to feel like it was just a waste of time
