    look for remote desktop software

I need some remote desktop software that lets to me connect to another computer and manage it from anywhere. The MAIN feature I need, is that it needs to be able to switch between Users in Windows XP.

    Any recommendations?

windows xp home doesnt have remote desktop.

        and remote assistance is garbage.

i'd go with pc anywhere... or god, there's some program i see advertised all over. i'll scan a couple recent tech mags and see if i can find the name again.

EDIT: oh shit. right on the inside cover.

Programs -> Accessories -> Communications -> Remote Desktop

Then you enter in the hostname or IP of the desktop machine, if that machine allows users to remote desktop to it, it will prompt you for a username and password.

After connecting if you want to switch usernames just Start -> Log Off User then reconnect.

              Take Luck!

The one thing I forgot to mention is that at times initiating new connections closes ICQ completely if its running on the users desktop, never quite figured out why that would occur.

                Take Luck!
