Will make $$$, I think.

Why not create pages that can be virtu ally inclu ded into a tgp and contain a row, or rows, of 88x88 thumbs which link to corresponding hosted galleries and rotate daily. Webmasters could choose how many thumbs per row, etc., to make them fit into their site.

The same thing could be done with text descriptions.

This would be SUCH an easy and effective way for TGP webmasters to promote an affiliate program and I bet a lot of them would be game.

Someone want to hire me? I'll make it happen ;)

What do you guys think of this idea?

that's really nice except when the sponsors server starts responding for whatever reason and fucks up their site.

it's a good idea but it should be done in another way... worked this out over a year ago but never got around to making it happend.

Uhh did you mean "when the sponsors server STOPS responding" ??

That wouldn't be a big deal at all, unless you are relying ONLY on sponsor gallies for your content.

If a server goes down, you just have a small blank spot on your page, like you accidentally did an extra < br > ... who cares? It's no worse than having sponsor hosted galleries linked from your page and the server going down.

And that depends on how you make your include.
Both SSI and PHP will output a error by default if the include fails.

Of course this can be avoided, but I'm saying "by default".

I wouldn't rely on such a system, it's pretty risky depending on your tgp's design and where you input the include.

It IS a very nice concept tho but the include is weak, it's good as an "option" but not as the ONLY option. Don't wanna give my setup away, but ... give it some more thought, it's a good start

The galleries have descriptions as well as an image for you to snag. The free video console changes on your web page daily, while it rotates on AEBN's end. You simply insert the code and the picture of the movie clip of the day rotates accordingly.

I came up with these concepts for them while I was working there.

Alright, well of course I agree with you that it should not be the only option. Being able to hotlink the individual thumbs/link 'em to sponsor galleries would definitely also be a good option as well as all regular advertising options. It would be a valued feature though.

The thing I don't agree with is that the virt ual incl ude is 'weak'. Anytime you use sponsor hosted content it is 'weak' in the sense that the sponsor's server may go down, but what is a better way? I suppose you could use simple jav a s cript to detect whether or not the remote page is live, and if not then avoid the error message.


But beyond that, what is wrong with it?

Hey, sorry for the slow reply ... I'm in Sweden so it got kinda late

When I said it's a good option but shouldn't be the only one, I didn't mean that you should offer hosted galleries and whatever else too ... but rather offer OTHER ways of getting that code to your pages.

Anyway, you can't really compare that to other hosted content since that is usually not displayed ON your page. That would be if you hotlink a thumb, and the worst that could happend would be a broken image. If an include fails it can screwup the layout of the site a lot... depends on the code involved of course

Also I'm thinking about how much stuff the server would have to process ... would be a shitload of requests loading up 4-5 thumbs for every surfers any of your affiliates gets. That's a shitload of requests... I'm no server expert tho, might not be an issue these days.

Basicly my though is, if you're just gonna update this code once a day ... why send it out a zillion times a day to each affiliates site, instead of just ... ONCE?

Yes, actually all the parts of www.allpornclub.com and our other add-ons can be cofigured to use on different TGPs by calling. We already have this option too and it can be configured for custom needs. We have done it custom for some affiliates, it's a good idea to put it permanent at webmaster area

So how's that working out for you? I mean is it getting "popular" among your affiliates?

Seems neat anyway, and I always like it when I hear stuff is being done CUSTOMLY for certain affiliates! It's nice with sponsors that takes the time to do such things.

Thanks Sorry, for the typo. Well, affiliates are guiding us for new improvements and it works best to provide them what they want. We take care of our affiliates, their success is ours. We bought earn from this. We are both webmasters and in the same biz. We have lots of improvements in the works. Doing them one by one
