OK, so it's pretty much common knowledge that a merchant account is hard to come by in this industry. But what if I create a company that doesn't sell porn, and make my porn sites a subsidiary of that company, so really the bank would be granting a merchant account to say a computer consulting company, could I still use the merchant account to process porn memberships? In your opinion, why would this work or not work? Thanks.

Thats not a very smart thing to do since the issuing bank will undoubtedly find out. Plus they will usually require that you list the site you are processing for before they issue the account. Trust me DON'T TRY IT!Comment

Merchant accounts aren't impossible to come by for adult if you are willing to get one that's not US, and you have the volume.
US accounts are still available, just harder to get.Comment

Been there done that. They will be all over you asking about all the low value card not present transactions. You wont last more than 90 days.Comment

I am in the process of moving from DigiBuy to PaySystems and they wanted to know my inside bloody leg measurements, our new software site is not finished yet and they will not grant permission until they have seen the fully finished site.
They have looked at http://www.the-cleaner.com site and passed it OK but not before they had issues with its slight connection to porn.
If you go the route that you suggest i rec you will come unstuck.
