    Mirar Toolbar

Maybe I'll save some of you an hour or so searching. I had this Mirar Toolbar install itself from following somebody's links from here. Anyhow, Ad-aware & Spybot didn't find anything (or whatever Ad-Aware found & removed didn't stop it from showing up in IE). Cleaned up the registry and still the prick was there. Read a few sites on how to remove and the one that worked was on an RV forum (of all things). Apparently there are 3 variants (This is the Forum ) and all of them are different. In my case it was removing the WinNB40.dll that did the trick.

The place he got his answer from was

Kephyr - Removing Mirar Toolbar (all variants) .

Hope it helps some of you :-)

    Ciao

It looked innocent enough :-) and I don't even remember who's it was.

I've installed Mozilla Firefox now - I hate too many things blocking my viewing area. Maybe this will be less 'under attack' *keeping fingers crossed*
