Taking down websites with image src

Any tips? What's the most effective and hard to track method? I never felt the need to take some site down, but after 1 year running a very popular adult board I have a handfull of enemies that like to play dirty. I know it's illegal to take them down, but let's talk about it just to share some knowledge

Take down a website via image sourcing? Sounds like the morons version of a DOS attack to me... lol

Try using a widely publicised exploit in cisco servers. Nothing like commanding a few hundred ciscos with a simple command line string (not many sites can withstand a few thousand terabytes of data per minute).

img src? that's ancient and easily blocked.

There are other, much more powerful and quicker methods that few network admins know how to combat.
