Internet traffic question

How can you tell how many hits an inactive url gets?

Eg if I wanted to know how many people have typed into their browser www.ilovegfy.com and it wasn't registered.

they may well have, but I have never heard of one & can't see how they would be able to track that data. Post the url again if you find it, would be an interesting site to see.
