UK Card Processing

Guys,

I'm looking to bill Mastercard and Visa in UK pounds for a UK only site. I also need the ability to charge via an API rather than the user entering their card details on a 3rd party server during signup.

Not having much atm - all british banks offering internet merchant accounts put the phone down as soon as you mention "adult".

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
