    help badly needed!!!!

    Hi Ppl!

    got a fucking strange problem!

    After my problems with my computer i bought myself a new AMD!

    Now i got this fucking problem that it takes almost 14 minutes to load windows (notmatter if i use win2k,me or xp)

    when i want to enter a folder it takes almost 2 minutes!

    I got new ram so thats not the problem.... the computer can't find/locate anyproblems...

    WHAT TO DO????

    It takes like forever to access anything (god blezz my net is working ok)

      Man, I had that problem once and cant remember what it was. I think it was RAM. Try going into the bios and turn the memory checking on. Make sure that it counts the correct amount. Id also look in the bootlog and see if anything failed to load.

            Hard drive could be crapping out

            I had one do this last week it was a W2k machine about 6 months old

            It would take it almost five minutes to boot. My tech worked on it for an hour or more and had given up on and asked me what I thought - Welp when I looked at it I heard the HD making the same noise over and over and over - this is a sign that it's having trouble reading the platter. Each time it tries to read a cluster it takes several retries to do so, hence the slow speed

                  check the bios setup, maybe you have the hardware cache turned off
