Ok, what sizes are common for submitters?

I'm going to make use of this feature on my posrnatr sites, but I don't want to be a ballbuster and force partners to create a unique thumb size.

88x88 looks too damn small to me. What other sizes are common?

90x120 is the second most common size, but I've also seen 100x130, 120x120, and 100x150 (one of each).

When I did a little bit of them, it was pretty new, and 88x88 was the norm.

I think 88x88 is small...but that is because of my resolution...1280x1024...if I was using 1024x768 or even 800x600 they would be fine...

88x 88 still can be juicy its really up to you at the end

88x88 and 100x150 are the two most common sizes. Ironically, the consensus is that 88x88 is too small and 100x150 is too big and bandwidth heavy.

Using 88x88 will give you the greatest compatibility as of now with submissions that include an optional thumbnail. I often intermingled 100x150 for paid submissions or my own galleries. Having the larger image size placed next to the 88x88?s definitely attracts attention and routes traffic effectively.

yeah, we have been creating 88x88 in the admin, and I just figured out the template and go.php shit, so I built a page to have a look.

I'm thinking I can get a better thumb off of a different shape. I would like to allow partners to post pre-made thumbs, if they have them, so we dont have to create every thumb thru the admin. Just to save some time.

When making pages, I make thumbnails in the following sizes:

88*88
88*114
88*116
90*90
90*120
100*88
100*130
111*111
120*90
120*120
200*150

After making so many pages and making thumbs on a daily basis, I remember the sizes. There are too many assclowns running in all different directions, seems like everyone wants a different sized thumbnail.

Next shit people will be wanting circular and hexagonal thumbs, which is bound to happen because it's just fucking stupid.

ldinternet, that's the kind of bullshit I was hoping to avoid being part of. I'll just pick one of the common sizes and run with it. No need to be adding another unique thumb size. That's a fucking time killer.

Use GallerySubmitter.com - you only need to upload 3 thumbs: 90x90, 90x120, 120x120 and we crop them into most of the other common sizes and subimt them for you...

nice to know, but I don't make galleries to submit to anyone. I like to get aggressive on my pages, and would never get accepted. This was to find out what I could ask submitters to use without giving them busy work.
