is it possible to configure outlook express so that instead of both sending and receiving email when it first starts up you only receive email?

I know you can completely turn this option off all together but i actually quite like having my emails there for me when i open the app.

Anyone know if this is possible to do?

no, but if you really dont want to send, just turn the option off then click on recieve when you start up
