    Pull ups, without a bar?!

Anyone know how to do pull ups without a bar, or strenthen the same muscle involved with other exercises/free weights?

I don't have a pull up bar in my home gym yet, anything till I get one?

Hang a wet towel on your cock, and do 4 to 6 sets of dick curls.

pulls ups work more then your arms, it works you lats, back, arms, tri, delts. When done correctly....

grab each side of a door frame... strenghten the fingers and arms like rock climbers do..... I seen a 14 year old girl that does 1 finger pull ups... like as many as you want her to do ... she never gets tired... you know who I am talking about... she's been on riopleys like 50 times....

Pull ups hit your biceps, your upper delts (chest) and your lats (those "wings" on your back) mostly. To get the same thing with free weights: Do curls, incline bench press and upright row.

                      Sorry...I gotta

The free weight or machine comparison of a pull up is a lat pull down (front, back, or wide depending on what muscle group you're targeting). The bicep is an auxillary muscle when doing pullups and will burn out well after your lats are toast. The power comes from your lats and upper-back and to extremely lesser degrees, your pecs (chest) or delts (shoulders). Hence why a lot of body builders tell you that there are two types of muscles: the Push (Chest and Triceps) and the Pull (Back and Biceps).

The best excercises to do at home would be the lat pull down starting with your grip about shoulder length apart. Sit totally upright as if you were having dinner with your girlfriend's anal parents. Then bring the bar down to below your chin (a lot like a pull up, heh?). Then do the same thing with your hands spread as wide as the bar. Then do a set of them behind your neck and you've just done yourself a massive amounts of pullups.

I use a hangboard for rock climbing. Let's you use a couple of different holds which isolate different muscles, and IMO much easier on your joints than a straight bar.

Just get a bar. I don't think anything is quite as good as moving your own body weight: push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, squats. When I was fighting, that's pretty much all I did for muscular development, and still do.
