Hey Icq users, have you noticed about a 500% increase in Icq message spam lately? 2 months ago I never got any, I currently get about 15 to 20 a day now.... All the same shit like

"hi my name is sarah, how are you? blah blah my website"

or

"check out my xxx website"

some bots it seems, even add you to there contact list, like wtf?


anyone else? its starting to really get to me, I fucking hate turning icq on now!

Don't ever fucking spam me again.
You're ip has been logged & I will personally take the time to report to every single sponsor on your site that you are spamming. In addition to this, I will notify ICQ , & your isp that you are a spammer.. I forwarded this spam to http://spamcop.net..

Stay on invisible and you never get any. I have my icq on 24/7 invis and never get spammed.

You can set your privacy controls to only allow messages from people on your friends list, that helps knock down the amount of crap.. I really like the ones that pretend to be someone... You answer back and they give you a generic response.
I wonder what the longest conversation anyone has had with a bot on ICQ is?

Well, this isn't that convenient, since I get some messages from webmasters looking to set up traffic trades and such.. and I might not add them before they msg me.

That's cuz of the release of a new ICQ spam program being distributed in hack groups. Apparently, it fixed a blocking technique. Pretty sad.... no wonder less and less people are using ICQ.

I have my preferences and security settings in ICQ set so that no one can put me on their contact list without requesting it first, and I routinely reject such requests unless they give me a reason along with their request. Most people with real business intentions will not "Interested in your content" or something like that in their request.
