    ##^&%& Overture

I have close my account at Overture, a week after opening it, and never approve my CC transaction, and still have been charged. What a fucking lame services are going down there ? I just can beleive it! I told them at least 3 times that i didn't want to approve the CC until i was decided to continue or not. They said yes, but they cash in the 50$ anyway.

Well, i get no news from them and next week my CC will be aware of the problem ASAP!

The initial $50 deposit is non-refundable. You made the decision when you signed up. The phone-in verification is a security verification, it's not to ask if you want to do business with them or not. Sad to say the initial $50 you deposited likely won't be refunded. You may as well use it and absorb it as a learning experience with them.

      Really.

That sucks and they shouldn't be allowed to do it. What services they did give me ? 4 support e-mails and two phone calls...I don't see adwords charging you before even starting the PPC. I saw they were not professionnal in their system and how they used it, and this confirm their amateurism even more...

It's clear to me, that there goal is to do hardcore capitalism instead of establishing real partnership. These words on their site "partnership", "affiliate" are just for the damn fucking show and truly deceiving.

I will remember that experience, but that non-refundable 50$...i will apply myself to make them a good reputation. Way to go Overture, not only are you under Google, but i predict that in a couple of years you will find your way at the bankruptcy office. I have seen enouph of this kind of crap in my life to know where it leads Overture in the future...a base for indifference.

unlikely that Yahoo will go bankrupt but they do suck compared to every other PPC.

Maybe not for Yahoo, but Overture will die if it continue doing this kind of business. That's what i meant. I hate this shit, but i guess it's less worst than having a boss taking money directely from your paycheck every weeks (this one, i will never forget).

Actually most PPC's charge you up-front, google is the main exception to that. But in general, you have $50 in clickthrough credit and their terms stated the initial $50 deposit is non-refundable.

Sorry... may as well use the credit...

it's in the terms and conditions.. they make it very clear you don't get it back. There are better reasons why you might think they will "die" but they aren't going anywhere.. they've been doing this for years.

Sorry to hear about that. I don't think grabbing $50 right off the bat like that is good biz practice - I'm sure you're not the only one who has complained about it.
I've only used a couple of ppc's and neither took money upfront and I could deposit it when ever I was ready.

And try to use a fucking lame system where i would have to put one of the lamest adult ads i can't even imagine of...because of their detrimental rules ? No sir. Overture is a dull system, that require a big level of patience, because of an excessivelly bad interface, and very thin options. It's not even worth, the initial 50$.

They do have a minimum quota of $20/month so if you don't use it, you'll lose it in 3 months. Your choice...
