Yet another letter from a FREELOADER

    Email that i got:

Why do you guys waste time saying you are free tgp sites when all you are
are links to other lying "free" sites? No one is going to visit anything you
advertise because they know it is going to be a bullshit wate of time! Just
say what you really are and stop wasting surfers time. I love anime and
hentai tgp posts but end up going to tgp posts that offer all types of
photos because at least they aren't bullshitting me crashing my computer
with a million links when I try to close the page. Wise up, man. When I
decide to finally join a site or FIVE, it sure as hell won't be one of you
idiots, because you LIE. If it's not free, try being honest. If your goal is
to make money, try being ethical. You probably won't even read this, but if
you do, feel free to answer as I spend a few hours a day surfing.

Tell him you are sorry for any trouble you may have caused him.

Then send him your dialer link and say it gives him access to your content section.

Funny, no question.... yet he does have a point. I've never personally delved into cj, but I know for me, if a site, any site, inundates me with endless bullshit and popups.... even if I wanna buy something from one of the sponsors they're pumping, I will very deliberately type in the direct url to it so as to not give them credit for it.

Does cj actually make money Lane? I'm honestly curious and not in smartass mode at the moment.

I think a lot of people do not know what happens. I know someone that used to send traffic through blind links with a picture of a woman saying "click here for more of my pictures".

He used to get emails - ONLY ONE figured out he was "scammed" (and was very displeased let me tell you) the rest all though the link was broken - even though it led to pop up city.

It would say stuff like, "Samantha, I tried to get your pictures and the link didn't seem to work - here is mine - please send me yours." He didn't get a whole lot, but somewhere around 50 or so would be my guess.

The average surfer doesn't know what is going on.

          Google gets:
          5,800 searches A DAY for google.com
          29,000 searches A DAY for yahoo.com

          That should tell you something

Yes, but how do people that stupid, people who must be accessing the Internet from an intelligent relative's computer, manage to come up with $30 for a pay site membership?

i dont have any cj sites. and the funny thing is he sent the email to [email protected] which is a site for webmasters.

maybe he clicked one of the links on the sites that says "powered by cjultra" and ended up at my site.
or the fucking smart ass knows that people use the script to jerk surfers around..

about your question, yes there is still money to be made with cj sites. i dont think bandwidth will ever be more than your profit from the site... but you gotta have shitload of traffic so that it is worth the time you spend.

Some people, believe it or not, are still rather smart - computers just confuse them. They don't understand how they work. This does not mean they are unsuccessful. You should see AOLs demographics. I can't find the link right now, but you would be suprised how many were college educated.

Some do not understand pop ups and redirects. They think they did something that caused it. Not everyone is like this, but I used to work with installing cable modems for customers, and was suprised at how many people had no iidea what they were doing. One women would had one of those clipboard attachments on her computer - she told me she used it to right down things she found that were funny on the internet. THEN SHE WOULD TYPE IT BACK IN TO SEND IT TO A FRIEND.

She had no idea about cut and paste. When I showed her she acted like I was a rocket scientist. She really was a nice lady, and didn't SEEM stupid. Just never thought about that I guess

Going to have to chime in on this one. This thread is funny as hell and the person who sent you that email does have a nice point. Hell, telling the surfer what they are getting into before i send them is how i make 90% of my cash. Cheers. ;p

So, your saying that if instead of using a line like:

"GUYS YOU *HAVE* TO CHECK THESE HOT VIDEOS!
THESE BABES ARE WAITING TO SUCK *YOUR* COCK!
NO CREDIT CARDS NEEDED! CLICK TO VIEW!"

                          I could say something like:

"GUYS, C'MON!! I'M GIVING YOU FREE PORN HERE, THE LEAST YOU COULD DO IS CLICK ON THE VIDEO LINKS...THEY'RE NOT REALLY LINKED TO VIDEOS THOUGH, THEY'RE LINKED TO MY DIALER WHICH WILL CHARGE YOUR PHONE BILL INSTEAD OF YOUR CREDIT CARD FOR FREE PORN!"

On my TGP, it might convert better? .

No wonder TGP arose from CJ. But then again TGP has the seeds of its own destruction--too much free stuff...plus the inherent conflict of interests between TGP owner and gallery submitter. Back to AVS?
