    Auto Gallery Pro Question !

Do AutoGalleryPro has a "Hall of Fame" function as MadScript has? More click at a gallery will move them higher in the thumblist.

    Thanks!

      Why use AutoGallery ?

There are better scripts than that (and safer).

none of the licenses on the JMB stuff are transferable. if you sell your site, the new owner has to cough up the cash for a new license ...

well if you sell your site it means that it makes good money so if you are not a cheapo you can pay the additional license for you buyer or deduct it from the price... if you are at the point of selling your site you are not gonna cry for 85 dollars..

why should i have to buy a license for anybody for something i've already [u]bought[/b] ? especially since the license is "tied" to the domain. if i sell a computer with micro$erf windows on it, that license goes with the software. the person buying the computer doesn't have to go out and buy that software again. same with most other software.

no false, i agree that their license sucks, but thats the way it is, anyway you won t find better scripts at such a low price , if you prefer pay the double price for a less efficient script but with better license its at the end the same thing... same amount of money out...

it wasn't really a question of better script or anything else. it's kinda well know that AG rocks. a couple folks i've talked to who use it say good things about it. that's why i was ready to spring for a copy until the folks at JMB answered that question for me. if i can't possibly "hand that site off" to somebody sometime in the future without incurring extra costs, there's no value in that software.

instead of the computer/MS windows analogy, let's try this one:

you buy a pay site from somebody. you pay them an up-front fee for the whole site. domain name. design. member databse and re-biils ( or a percentage ... ). the whole works. and then they say: "oh ... by the way ... you have to buy ALL the content over again because the license isn't transferable.".

part of the preceived value of a TGP is in the traffic and the submissions database ( if the site takes submissions anyway. ). some of the folks selling their TGP sites have made a selling point of having "xxx" galleries and submitters in the submissions DB. so "in theory" until the new owner buys another copy of AG, that site is running illegally or shouldn't be running at all.

ap|tgp2 isn't "hard to use." I prefer to use the term "powerful."

its the case 98% of the time with content providers licenses... non transferable......

the point is : its only 85$ at most and if you sell your tgp i hope its worth way more than 85$
