Okay, perhaps someone can educated me on the finer points of football. My understanding is that the game is 1 hour long broken into 4 quarters of 15 minutes. How therefore did the game kickoff at 3pm and not finish until 7:30pm?

More's the point...if a guy goes out and tells his wife that he's going to be gone for an hour and then shows up four and a half hours later, why isn't that acceptable?

So next time my wife says "where the hell do you think you've been for the last four and a half hours?", instead of trying desperately to avoid saying "banging my mistress in the hot tub", I should just say "well, if you don't account for commercials, timeouts, 2 minute warnings and coffee breaks, I was only gone for an hour". Do you think she'll buy that? hehe.
