For those of you with dedicated servers on dedicated pipes:
Does anyone know of a good way to limit your bandwidth on a server? I tried that throttle mod for Apache, but that just basically refuses connections when the limit is reached. I would actually like to limit the kbps the user downloads the pages of my site. Is this possible? How do the big boys do it? I heard maybe you can do it at the switch, but haven't explored that option...

), then it's in their best interest to slow you down, especially if you never go over your designated bandwidth, which is where they make their money anyhow. BTW There is no such thing as a dedicated pipe in the ISP world, unless you have heard of company I haven't, you always share the pipe. LOL
