XP users?? I need help...

Okay so I couldn't take XP off my new laptop and I am really shitty about it

To make matters worse I'm having a really annoying problem:

There is no shortcut to the desktop on the taskbar like in old windows
So every time I want to go to the desktop I have to minimize all the other windows
I've tried clickign directly on the desktop to bring it forward (I could do that in Win2Kpro) but even that doesn't work

It's only a little thing I know but it is annoying as all hell to me
can anyone help me?

Seriously it is the biggets fucking piece of crap that ever got pushed outta microshit's ass

I wanted to uninstall it - but my notepad has been built especially for XP - fuckign cunts!!!!
I've used it wuite a bit in the past so I speaking from experince - not someone who's just go tit and freaked out lol

whatevever you do - don't get it

If you do decide to go ahead - for whatever strange reason that may be- make sure you get a patch for it ( you can download it online somewhere ) because it is highly hackable.

thanks for the warning! Should I install win2000 or any1 else suggestions??? It has to be microshit (we all hate em but a few of my most important stuff only works in MS snuff...ehhh stuff)

I still think Win2KPro is the best
it is far more stable then the others and while I was using ME it was really fucked up

If you do get win2pro make sure you so not get the new explorer6 i think i t is

Stick to a previous verison

when I downloaded IE6 - about an hour later I lost all my drives and 5 years worth of work - and I'm not the only person it happened to

... just rightclick on you taskbar and setup the quicklaunch stuff, it´s really easy ... if the XP layout is pissing you off you could also change this to their "traditional layout" withing the graphics setup ...

I use Win2K pro with IE6 and it fucking ROCKS !!!

What Kitty should have said is do not upgrade directly from IE5 to IE6 ... You have to install IE5.5 first .... IE5.5 has 128 bit encryption bundled in it ... and that will allow IE6 to run perfectly ...

For some strange reason ... the 60 bit stand alone IE6 has several stability issues ...

But as long as you install the IE5.5 first, I would highly reccommend going with IE6 .... It is far faster.

As far as stability goes ... I leave my PC on 24/7, and was up without a reboot for 12 weeks

XP IS THE BEST !!! If you notice something that's missing in XP from Win98, just look for it, you'll find it.

I know that the missing shortcuts in the taskbar scared me for a minute, BUT I knew that somewhere in the options there'd be a way to turn them on and I found it no problem.

ALSO, there's a way to disable the way that multiple browser windows stack up. You've just gotta take the time to look.

yeah when i first used xp i thought it was awful cuz i was so used to 95/98/me, then i disabled all the new xp options and im starting to fall in love with it.
