I am encoding mpeg clips into wmv with windows media encoder, do any of you have advice as to how to do this jazz in batch or should I just get a grunt?

windows media has several batch encoders ... some are command prompt but 7 has a GUI (which may actually work with 9 codecs if thats what your using)
The file you are looking for is wmrk7_full.exe
if it doesnt work with the 9 codecs (if thats what you are using) then look here:
