    Windows Media Encode 9 question

vids compressed with the new WME9.. will older version of Media Player have difficulties viewing it?

Tried it on several machines and no probs but this compressing
seems to good to be true...

    So what's the catch here?

Usually the player will get the latest codec automatically if it recognized it's a WMV9 File. The older player could usually not play the videos if the Stream includes different sizes for examples and different audio codecs, what is possible only within 9 Version

WMV 9 files never work for me, ever. Media player downloads the codec, but it never works.

      Ahhh, good ole' mpegs.
