I didn't like it that much. It was so not a Burton movie either. Maybe Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will be Burton-esque.

Yep. The group of people I went with wanted to go just because it was Burton. All they talked about the whole time was how great Burton was, haha.

I will commend him for trying to "grow."

No it's not exactly Burtonesque, however it was a bit different than most mainstream films...and a change for him.

But I will have to agree, I went looking for something almost mystical, but honestly I think that's what I like about it...the twist in that it wasn't. ;)
