    FTP problem.

I am using a 4 port linksys router with updated firmware.

    FTP server is BFTP.
port is 2323 and passive ports are 51000 - 52000
Router is pointing all those ports to the machine ip that has the server on it.

People can connect, but never get a directory list.
150 Opening data connection for directory list.
425 Cannot open data connection (10060).
List Complete: 0 bytes in 22.25 (1.00 KBps)

This makes absolutely no sense, this should work and has before.

tell your client to try "pasv mode" in their ftp client, sometimes that works

Had that problem once many moons ago. If I remember correctly the users need to type in "PASSV" to activate passive mode on their FTP client also. Lot of graphical FTP clients can't do this. One FTP client that has never failed me is NcFTP It's not graphical but it always connects no matter how the server is set up. Give it a try...

I don't have a "firewall" just a router, and yes, the port is enable. the clients could connect, just not get a directory list.

Ok, so I tried changing the port to 6969 from 2323 and guess what, they got a list on the client! So my isp is obviously blocking 2323 as 2323 is a common ftp port. But here is a problem. Even on 6969 people cannot get directory listing when browsing with just a web browser.

It is important I can access my system from away using just IE.
