Exactly my point. This is the way that most ppl think, but you can make a difference. Go to school and study law etc..., join groups etc..

If everyone who said "I'm just one person , I won't make a difference" something will be done.

i care a great deal but I don't feel anymore guilty sitting here doing this than I did when I was a travel agent.

I do some volunteer stuff , not nearly as much as I did when I was a teen but then I didn't have to support a family then either.

As Bob Geldof once said to someone who felt guilty about eating when they saw the starving kids on tv - you have to be healthy first inorder to be able to help them recover.

Because there is someone out there right now that you could very well help. Something that may seem so obsolete to you might be a huge thing for someone else.

I dunno maybe I just want to make the world a better place even though I know it will never happen. It saddens me to know whats going on right under our noses and we act like its not real or someones not getting hurt.

I spent 5 years doing volunteer work off and on with drug addicts.

However - even if I hadn't done that, I wouldn't feel guilty because I'm selling porn, anymore than if I was selling a Mercedez or a vacuum cleaner. Key lesson to learn - IMHO - is that it's not wrong for you to be happy, just because there are others who are less fortunate. At whatever point you decide to do something actively to help, you'll always be more of an asset if you are a happy, satisfied person.

There are two paths you can take if it really bothers you:

a. Something full time that helps the world situation
b. Volunteer work.

And (b) is always acceptable.

I guess I just grew up a bit... I'm not a content girl nor do I want to be. I'd like to think I have something more to share with the world. I'm not nor do I want to be another number...it's not me.
I'd also like to think I have a pretty good head on my shoulders and to me taking my clothes off doesn't show that.

Imagine if more people stayed home to view porn on the internet or DVD. Less time for wreaking havoc on the rest of the world with their pants down. Take that as a tongue in cheek comment only.

I don't think profiting from porn entails somone just sitting around so much either. Those profits aren't always used to only buy bigger, better, faster. I'm sure there are those that contribute to causes and organizations to better society and the planet we all stomp around on.
