Some clarification is needed

So here it is. I've gotten several emails and two Q sessions about this, so I'm gonna go ahead and clarify for everyone.


There is a difference between the GFY Top Ten Threads of the Day on Adult Beat and the Longest Thread of the Week as judged by whomever judges it (not me, folks, go gripe someplace else!).

The GFY Top Ten is a DAILY thing (with exception of Saturday and Sunday, which are melded together for Monday's edition). In order to qualify for the top ten, you must make good threads about BUSINESS. Good discussion topics are what are selected.

The longest thread is a WEEKLY thing, where the longest thread is chosen by postcount (not including the posts of the topic originator: no sandbagging).


There is no such thing as the longest thread of the day. Sorry. There is no such thing as the best thread of the week. Sorry.

Hope this helps to clarify, and thanks to those who asked the questions instead of ranting at me in nasty emails. (I've gotten those too. Imagine that.)

Not at all...But when 2 thread of an identical nature are posted and the one with 6 replies gets listed while the one with 160 does not......

Just offering some constructive criticism...but I noticed 6 out of 10 of the top threads from yesterday were program announcements.

And even then they didn't get that much response.

While they are indeed "business" threads...they are pretty much spam.

Much of that comes from the fact that there's really not many good Q&A business topics posted.

Anyone notice that $5 submissions posts some insightful, intelligent topics that no one seems to really want to discuss? I have to take what I can get, folks. Feed me some good Q&A or business threads. Please?

I feel you man but she's working on it and I'm sure she's open to suggestions. She's sorting through a ton of threads everyday trying to find something biz related and the title of the thread isn't always indicative of what importance a thread might have so she has to sort through a lot, so errors happen. So at least offer constructive ideas to solve it.
