Just talked to Ben. Apparently nobody here even called Jupiter to tell them they were down. (NOTE GUYS If you are down CALL your host before bitching on GFY. That should be your priority). Anyhow he's on it. Apparently it may be the same situation as a few days ago, their upstream link switching a line or something. Should be up very shortly.Comment

I agree. Right after I posted that, my partner said how the fuck did they not notice it. I still think that people should at least call them before bitching.

Not to sling shit at another host, I have heard nothing bad about Jupiter.
BUT, every host has network monitoring and KNOWS when a connection is dropped or traffic plummets (or skyrockets).
So, yes; if your site/server is down, inform the company because if it is just 1 site on a server not working they probably wont notice (most companies monitor the whole server, not individual sites).Comment
