BUT seriously since Christmas Eve day the spam is way down in my mailbox. I just took three days before December 24, averaged 463 emails per day - it's well past the holidays and I just counted 199 emails today - still down over 50%.

My thought earlier today about the decrease in spam was that there was a back-room deal timed to coincide with the CAN-SPAM act.. Russia and the various ex-eastern block countries were pressured to shut down spam at their borders so the CAN-SPAM act would look legitimate..

but then, I'm drunk, and I really don't believe in most conspiracy theories

This morning, I received a whopping 13 spams... usually, mornings greet me with close to 100 spams.

my hotmail box did recieve fewer spam emails
but my main is still the same 2-3 spam emails a day

I'm getting a lot more if anything. Especially from some asshole promoting the non existing Jessica Simpson video. I get about 5 or 6 e-mails per day.

i gave up my Outlook a couple of days ago. im getting spammed an average of 200+ spams a day from one of my emails.

anyone tried Outlook 2003?

it's kinda strange I keep checking my outlook express to see if something is wrong

but it seems to come in bursts.. I'll get no spam for a day or two maybe a spam here and there... then whamo I'll get like 15 all in one batch...

my webmaster e-mails still seem to get a lot, but that seems to mostly be other webmasters IE content stores and so on...

At least with CAN-SPAM they are forced to put an address in there, and most of them are mailing from their true hosts, so I can finally get off all the lists Gamma sold our non-opted webmaster emails to.

I've seen a decrease now that I can actually trace these idiots back to the source and/or they are truly honoring removes for a change.
