i met those guys when aol was the only thing id ever heard of ... there was an aol chatroom for tool, and someone in there claiming to be maynard ... i said "bullshit, fuck you ... you are some 15 year old kid pretending to be maynard"
then i went to the show, and a roadie quoted my post from the chat room, knew exactly who i was (aol name) ... and said, yes, that is maynard in the chat room ...
for the next year maynard comped me tix to every show in florida, backstage passes included ... they were my favorite band (my nick name at the time was "Tool Man Mike") so you can imagine i was like a pig in slop
and maynard is a really fucking nice guy, very enlightened, danny carey also very nice, normal dude ... didnt get much interaction with the guitarist or bassist.
fav song = intolerance ... bong rip and fucking ROCK!

the delay for AEnima was because of legal shit ... the time from AEnima to Salival to Lateralus, i guess they want to take their time and do other shit inbetween ... better than pumping out some shit album every 9 monthsOriginally posted by Rick O'Shea
