php mail() blows with anything over just a few thousand.
depending on your server, have somebody make a shell script to use sendmail rapidly which might have a better effect.
Just mail with normal mailing software if you have to.Comment

I have one. Ain't cheap, ain't expensive either. And it will handle millions of members easily (as it's in use by clients already doing so.)
If you want a piece of cheap crap that will balk on you and cause you a major headache later (when you'll need to upgrade and change everything) feel free; you get what you pay for.

I have one that is in the works right now.
The price range will be around $100.
It collects E-mail, send a confirm E-mail where they can confirm their membership.
It will support multi level memberships, IE: signup free and use parts of the membership. Later they can upgrade to a paid membership to get access to more content, no newsletters or whatever.
I'm thinking about integrating it into TurboThumbs as well so you will be able to see wich of your trades that send you visitors that signup, upgrade to paid or whatever.
It is functional now to collect mails and send out confirm mails, but still need to write a good SMTP mailer to support big mailing lists.
Should be ready in the beginning of January if anyone is interested

yeah right now im doing 200-250 email signups per week with ce, i was considering switching to adultearners but it would be nice to have full control over the members area and what sponsors i wanna link to in my mailings.Comment

you create your own members area. design it however you want. contact AdultEarners. they'll give you the code to collect emails, they'll confirm the emails and then give the surfer the link to your members area. and then they mail your members.
