PS2 or Game Cube?

Which is better and why? I already have a ps1 and want to get one for the kids for xmas and would really like a ps2 but not sure which is better the ps2 or the game cube? I wont get the xbox because a friend has one and it is way to noisy for my taste and i heard it was shit. So what is your oppinion ps2 or game cube?

I personally prefer the Game Cube.. Sure, the PS2 has more games but I still prefer the game cube.. the ps2 I had lasted me 8 months before it broke and that's after taking very good care of it.. My Game Cube has lasted me 2 years and that's after having my 4 year old nephew bash it, throwing it etc.. yet it still works like brand new.. So that tells me that PS2's are built like shit..

PS2 fer sure. If your kids are younger though, gamecube might be the better choice as there are a lot more kid games out for gamecube.

Plus the Game Cube controller is the best out of all 3 systems in my opinion and it does have some good games. may not play DVDs but who cares. the dvd player on the ps2 sucks.

I do agree that the Game Cube has too many kid type games. that was nintendo's stupidity but they are starting to smarten up.

well it isn't only for my kids ofcourse i will be playing it as well They have allot of ps1 games that are educational i don't care that it plays dvds the only reason i am considering it is because it will play ps1 games
