Optin email question

I am going to be sending out a marketing email to some optin newsletter users I have picked up on my tgps. What is the best width to use in an email for graphics. It's a header graphic that is horizontal. It's original size is 718 pixels but I know that is too big for an email. What is the standard size? Any advice would be helpful! Thanks

I use 650. Fits nicely.

yeah I try to keep them right around 600
