    Thread Bumping Problem

Why the hell are people bumping old useless threads, and cluttering the front page where useful things ought to be posted (every once in a while)?

Also, why are so many people finding this so damned amusing? It's a real hassle and a huge waste of time. It seems like Lensman stepped out of the office for a day, and the kids have decided to play while they can. Grow the fuck up.

It'd be easy to ask for old threads to be locked away, but sometimes you can find useful things, or references that may need to be used. I'd suggest banning for people doing this when the thread is irrelevant, but it seems as if the larger board members are the ones participating in this. Is this some sort of strange psychological method being implemented to clear the board of members?

What will it take to get this board back to basics again, and free it of the immaturity? Joking around is fine, and it makes things interesting, but some of you are acting like first graders who have just learned their first cuss word.

relax man, it's all in good fun. you call it a waste of time but i don't see how it's any different than having to sift through the "hilarious dog video" or "my 100th post" posts.

besides it's 5AM in the morning... these'll all be gone within the next few hours.

suggesting to ban someone is becoming all too commonplace on here. let the mods do their jobs, if they were'nt i'm sure they'd ask for your help.

I see your point. Those threads are pointless as well. I just decided to come and check the boards before bed and I every thread I opened was a bump from 2 years back. I've never suggested banning, other than blatant stupidity (except in this thread because I felt what was going on was stupidity). I was just aggrivated that this is all I'm seeing, besides threads calling people fuckheads over and over again. Seriously...Who's going to ban any of you guys? Most of the guys doing this are this board's top posters (and financial partners/workers)!

I'm not worried about mods ignoring their jobs. I just don't understand the point of this, and why this is happening. Obviously it's in good fun, but when I'm wanting to reply to a thread about something that was a somewhat serious question 2 years ago, it's pretty annoying to realize that the thread was posted 2 years ago just as I'm about to hit the submit button.

I'm tired and cranky. Sorry if this thread pissed you off. It's probably as annoying to you as opening 2 year old threads are to me, and countless others.
