How to detect Browser hijacking

Look in your c:/ folder and look for an install file. If it has RedSwoosh or some other plug in app in there, run its uninstaller.

Some spyware killers like S & D do not find all of these scumware...so beware!

Another good trick is to also go into

c:\windows
c:\windows\system
c:\windows\system32

And view files by last date modified , That will tell you of any new nasties

As always also check your hosts file and registry

c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\

Also your win.ini
