how many hits a day can this script handle before going to shit? I'm very leary of trade scripts using mysql cause they can run slow.
Is there a TTT tgp with over 100K uniques?

The new version of TTT is very easy on mysql. I have gotten over 200k a day with no backed up mysql. It depends if you are on a virtual and if you are how many other sites are using mysql.

BTW all my tgps are running with the ip log on resetting every 24 hours, you can have it reset every 12 or turn it off completely. If doing this I would guess it could handle close to 300k a day. The C version of TTT we are coding should be able to handle 2 mill a day on one box.

I can go with a dedicated server using a free script or virtual account with a paid script.

I think going with the dedicated server is a better move. I can't afford both and don't care to wait a few months until I can.

Nothing against you or choker but i would never run a 100k a day site thru a php trade script. If you cant afford the $99 a month to get tm3 go back to Mcdonalds and save some $$ up.

Actually a properly configured box with php/mysql configured right will easily run 300k hits with TTT. Its when you get a sysadmin that doesn't know what he is doing when they setup the box or you have a virtual host that is overshared...

The C version will be the same as the php version. We are upgrading the php version to include everything we want in the C version. I expect a month at the most. What hardly anyone thinks about is the protection TTT offers your tgp against cheaters. Using the findtrades database I rarely get any new trades signing up to my sites trying to cheat. If they do they are blacklisted system wide by everyone using TTT. This protection alone is well worth the 1% traffic it takes. And the new script that shows all your tgps on one page that is included in the TTS system means you can monitor unlimted tgps from one page. I may login each TGPs trade script once a week. What other script out there can run itself like TTT does? None that I have seen. I had TTT made to run itself, keep me out of the admin so I can use my time doing other things, like making more sites. TTT is best to leave it alone. Set it up and stay out of the admin. And if you are like me and make many tgps, it is simply not financially feasable to buy a trade script for every tgp I make. No way in hell could I afford this.
And yes Vollant you are correct, a properly configured server can run 300k a day with TTT. Many guys bitch that we did not put a ton of extra features in TTT, well all these what I consider unnecesary features create a hogher load. IMO TTT is the perfect balance between features and capacity. The C version will of course have more features since we are using binary datafiles speed will not be a issue.

Sorry for the long post, but I get aggrevated because most people do not realize the full benefits of this script. Use TTT and the findtrades database and the TTS multi tgp stats and the tgp runs itself. I have wanted a script like this since I got in this business. Sitting on your stats is the single biggest waste of time there is. TTT you do not have to do this.

TTT or any other script that use mysql will run fast if its codec good and run from a good box.. P4 with much ram should be able to deal with any load you can provide...
