depends on your key words. Sometimes small targetted traffic converts better than heavy traffic.

For adult I have no clue but I'm boosting my mainstream SE traffic by a few thousand a week or so. I could do more but I don't spend the time I should on it lately.

well let me explain what i am trying to do. i'm shopping around at the different search engine servies for a product that i plan on advertising pretty heavily. this is my first jump into really trying to get search engine traffic(for some reason i actually believe that tgp traffic was the best way to go when i first started). now with that said i see a lot of keywords for my target audience but the amounts searches per month(according to overture) is extremely low. granted the smaller the searches are the better chance i have to convert BUT i don't want to find myself in a situation with little or no growth.

also are there any other places besides overture that determines how many times a keyword or phrase has been searched in a certain amount of time?

Being that Overture is the second largest PPC around, it's really your best bet. And don't let the small amount of searches get you down. If you're going microniche, you may do as well with 100 clicks to that as you would with 5000 TGP hits to a teen sex site.
