        I was king of the quads in marching band (dont knock it, there were MAD hot chicks in MB and the bus trips were FUN )

              love pretty much all the guys you listed, never really got into the melvins though.

              I love Nick Mason, I love Stephen Morris from Joy Division, he's really minimalistic, you'd think it's a drum machine, fucking hypnotizing.

              I love Phil Selway from radiohead, seems to me he;s influenced by drum n' bass records from the way he plays.

              And I gotta give it up to the lady Maureen Tucker of Velvet Underground =)

                    just upgraded to a maple set today, these were birch ... and added a 14" crash ... cant find the right china

                      amen, danny carey rules ... i met him several times .. i asked him why he joined tool, or rather how he and the band came together, and he said "well these guys needed a drummer and i sort of felt bad for them"

                      seemed like a strange answer to me ... maynard is a really nice guy, not a weirdo like you see on stage.

                          Crover is incredible. Probably one of the best drummers alive and most people don't know who he is.

                                what snare do you use? i got a porkpie but its just a bit bright for me ... i think i want something deeper but im too lazy to drive to the good drumstore

                                i just got the maple today so i havent tuned it up yet, just barely got it all on the rack, plus readjusting the cymbals to make room for the new one ... having a friend (im not pro drummer, im a guitarist/pianist) who knows drums come help me out tomorrow
