Is there any friggin program that will convert a MS Works database file into and Access 97 one? I fucking hate Works cause it won't convert into anything except maybe, text files.

Try saving as comma delimited (I think its .csv but it says when you save it) then see if the other prog will open it. Works is weak in converting but will save to a bunch of formats usuable with other progs. We still use it for label runs etc and just do it that way.

Delimited says it will lose all formatting but its usually just the font and pica size etc. Easily changed back in the prog you open it in

That works! I had to go into Access' wizard though to get there. The stoopid conversion program won't open .csv. It's cool though.

Took the old man three weeks to figure out how to 'save as' in Works in a format that a mysoftware label prog would be ables to use back in 95. lmbo We learned on Works and not alot of progs converted then. God love him. It takes forever to enter 100k of labels every year in to a label prog one label at a time! Cut the time down to two days from two weeks!!
