Looking for programs that count first page hits

There seems to be so many rules about what counts as a click.

Which ones do count first page clicks for sign up ratios.

I am talking about affiliate programs.

Some count the sign up page while others count the second page.
Just seems to be like a way of shaving clicks to me.

Why not just count the first page that is on the referal link code so we webmasters can get a more accurate count verses the sign up ratio

It's completely irrelevant... The only things that matter are the clicks that you should be counting at your end and the cheque at the end of the period. Everyone counts clicks differently so it's pointless to try and compare sponsor click stats.

All incoming clicks sent to PornDollar counts your front door Raw / Unique. (before the system even redirects to the first page)


So you will always get a true count.

like PefectionGirls said. sites that link through CCBill's system report a very accurate first page raw count.

You won't see 1 in 48 conversions as often, you're seeing the real conversion.

Either way - as long as you keep the eye on the ball - it's checks at the end of the month that matter most.

(I'm kinda like you -- I do like accurate click counts too -- makes me feel like i can trust the sponsor more)

I'd be more concerned about productive traffic than first page hits if I were you. But since I'm not you I'll tell ya why you should have this thinking as well.

I preffer second page hit counting due to the fact that surfers click ads by accident or to grab freebies from tour etc etc. I'd rather see how many surfers were actualy interested and clicked through to the second, third, 4th page, etc etc.

It makes it a lot more difficult to tell how productive your traffic is when you have no idea how many visitors you are actually sending to a site. I prefer to know first page hits. Second page hits is just a way of making ratios look better.
Having said that ... you need to compare apples to apples. A 1/300 ratio for a program that tracks second page hits is vastly different than a 1/300 ratio for a program that tracks first page hits!

It does make ratios look better but in all honnesty it's better for gauging productie traffic. I'm talking productive as in those who actualy are interested in purchasing a membership and/or checking the whole tour out. With webmasters using blind links and other tactics that are unproductive the bottom line is the surfers who WANT to be in the tour are the important ones.

If you have a sponsor that only counts second page hits and you want to get better numbers of who actualy clicked ads try this. Put an FPA between the sponsor and ads surfers clicked to get there. Put a good counter on that FPA and watch the referer stats on it.

You could even put an ad tracking system on the fpa to see how many surfers clicked through from the fpa to the sponsor and compare them to your sponsor stats. Guaranteed the number of fpa>sponsor clicks will be about the same as the sponsor stats. This is the productive and IMPORTANT traffic.

If you MUST see the total clicks just check the FPA referer stats. But again, first page hits are not important when it comes down to how big the check is at the end of the pay period. I do understand however that it is important to know how well your advertising methods are working. So just do the FPA trick.
