So what you are saying is i should work my ass off getting #1 listings for keywords that EVERYONE else wants and not concentrate on getting #1 listings on keywords that not many people go for.

Makes sense, quantity of traffic over QUALITY of traffic

Perhaps it is just me but i would rather have 100 hits from some highly targeted keywords rather than 1000 hits of general search terms.

Have you guys not learnt anything about marketing / sales working in this industry?

heres my summation
SE's are dog eat dog and some people are better than others at getting results. IMHO the true test comes down to longevity of a high listing and the traffic resulting from it.
If someone is happy with what they have, more power to em, if not ... there are two alternatives; STUDY, STUDY more and experiment till you get better at it OR buy traffic/listings

as far as paid optimisers, this is my opinion:
only paysites and the like should even consider it (I'm talking adult oriented only here)
*however*, for the price of the optimization they could have decent feeders being built which would probably result in the same traffic numbers and longevity of it

I am not an SE expert at all, but I think you can copy their technique by looking at their listings? From my adventures studying google. its quite easy to check out what other sites they have linking to their adult pages and it's easy to view their page source using wanna browser spoofing googlebot? I always go to Linkpopularity and check what they have linking to their high ranked pages to see what other domains they own.

Most thing I noticed is a lot of SE spammers have lots of high PR domains with PR of 6 and up, usually 7 or 8 with a link to one of their adult pages, some have their own mainstream sites with high pr, some buy links from Russian sites with high pr.

Once they have the PR, I'm assuming they have some script that mass produces thousands of pages aiming for specific keywords like "paris hilton porn" , "paris hilton sex". etc....

Am I missing something here? SE experts please comment. And now off to figure out where to buy domains with high PR..... ?
