Stupid question?

Is there a way to make screenshots of movies on your pc, and what is it? With DVD's it's easy, but with like .avi files and Ctrl+PrtSc it doesn't work. When I paste it in Paintshop I only get a black screen. Why you ask, no not to "create" content but just to save some memorable shots of movies.

Am I really that stupid?

use a video editor such as vegas video or premiere. most of those types of programs have a still capture feature.

or turn off accelleration, but fuck that. Support programers and go buy some software.
