ev1servers.net is the new name for rack shack.
I have a couple boxes, and been with them about 6 months
they have a very competiitive server offering.
THIS IS A SELF MANAGED server farm house.

I would reccomend them, for all who are not shy in the area of doing server duties that traditional tech support would do.

I have a 10mbps box there that I've had for a while now. The only downtime that I've had was due to an error on my part. Customer support is top notch in my dealings with them. Trouble tickets are addressed usually within an hour of posting them...at any time of the night.

If you can manage your own server, it's a great deal. I learned basic ins and outs and have someone on paid support for anything that I am unsure of myself.

from me, and the $5 domains don't hurt either. I can buy a domain now and put it to use instantly. No waiting for anything to resolve.

What a freakin nightmare, I have had 2 servers with them and as the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

They are good cuz you dont have to get Ensim.. You can get just plain linux, plesk, ensim 3.1, ensim pro, Windows 2003 Server.. I think there a few more interfaces u can get... so they have a large selection... When I first got my 10mbps box there about 6 months ago.. it was hell for the first 3 weeks.. . getting everything setup, upgraded, security patches etc.. but once everything was configured.. no problems since..

Go with them if you know how to admin your own server, and you can afford downtime if something goes wrong that is out of your control. I had some weird capping issues with them and the problem was never resolved, they just kept closing the tickets. I gave up and moved elsewhere.
