    Prohosters.com account question

Can anyboy help me with this hosting plan.
    http://prohosters.com/virtual.php

There are two types of account.

    1) Premium Cluster Virtual Hosting
    2) Pay4use Cluster Virtual Hosting

Both of them look pretty much the same to me but one of the differences in the features is "No BANDWIDTH TIERS." in the "Pay4use Cluster Virtual Hosting"

Anyboy know what "No BANDWIDTH TIERS." means ?

Anybody know any "important" differences between the two types of account ?

I plan to host several low bandwidth domains that are just submitted to search engines so I don't expect to use more than the 5 GB a month.

Any advice here would be appreciated.

    Regards PJ

That means that you pay the same set price per gig no matter how much you use.
    Example...
If you use 50 gigs, you pay $1 per gig.
If you use 7000 gigs, you pay $1 per gig.

I am just trying prohosters myself and I chose the pay4use option.

The main diffrence that I see is that unused bandwidth is carried over to the next month with the pay4use option(except for the first 5GB that comes with the required $15/month)

So from the way I understand it what you do is fill your 'bucket' with BW by pre-buying blocks. The bigger block you buy the less you pay per GB. Then after you use up the first 5GB(comes with the required $15/month) for the month then the rest of the BW for that month is pulled from your prepaid bucket.

Then on the next month you start over with the 5GB that comes with the required $15/per month. And still have whatever was not used in your bucket after the end of the last month.

Also if your prepaid bucket gets low (I think they said 75%) then you are notified and must prepay for more blocks before it is empty.

To my understanding this is how it works.

But as I said, I have just opened an account myself and do not know for sure yet.
So I could be way off base :o)

just go to their irc server & channel and ask them real time if you need any info that's not listed on the site.

open mirc from www.mirc.com type /server irc.prohosters.com then when it connects /join #prohosters

amadman that's just about how I figure it worked, certainly looks like a feature packed hosting deal for just $15 a month, I'm going to go with the pay4use as well, best of luck with your ventures
