Microsoft got smart this time with their key codes though. If two computers have the same keycode and they're on the net, it'll raise a flag over at Microsoft and they'll send you a nice letter to the original registered user telling you to pay for another license.
I dont have the professional version, I have the home version and I was required to register it. This is from pcworld.
"Windows Product Activation has a 30-day grace period during which the user must activate that copy of Windows. If the user hasn't activated by the 30th day, they'll be able to boot their PC but won't be able to launch Windows without first calling to activate their copy of the product (if activating prior to the 30th day, users may do so online or via phone)."
The Developer's Key (11111-11111-1111-11111-11111) would have been nice !!
