Any plans to reduce the pricing for dedicated servers?

I've had a small virtual account with ProHosters for a couple of years and have been fairly happy. There have been a couple of rough spots, but overall it's been okay.

I need another dedicated server and the Dedicated Basic Solution would work good, but there's no way that I would pay $299/mo with a $399 setup fee for a 100G plan with $1.50/gig overage... that's ABSURD!!!

You've already lost some of my business as I've got three dedicated servers with other hosting companies because no one at ProHosters was willing to cut a deal with a long-time customer.

First I want to thank the business people that have posted to this thread.

As to business being bad, again I know otherwise since I know the number of racks we have and the number we have on order and the data center space we have reserved to move into soon. I also know the fact that we are increasing our office space at the data center. I also know the number of new servers we have been adding each week and our bandwidth has continued to go up. Business bad???... nope not at all and I full well expect to double the current growth numbers over the next 120 days.

People that do know me know I am running Pro Hosters and have been since the day I got off the plane. I have no immediate supervisors nor do I need any. Pro Hosters is changing a lot of things but the one area that will not be changing is the level of service our customers have come to expect. We will in fact be offering more services for our customers soon. Pro Hosters is expanding into other markets much more providing stronger collocation programs, onsite managment services, and will be stronger in more markets soon. Since I have arrived Pro Hosters has also employed a staff of coders that is working on something special for it's customers.

As to how I stand on animal abuse. This is a personal question and truly has nothing to do with business but it has been asked and I have nothing to hide I will be happy to answer.
I was raised on a dairy farm and milked cows from age 9. I have had pets all of my life, currently we host 2 cats, one we think is 14 and her kitten who is 13 years old and we have had the older one for 13 years (stray). I say we host them because I do not believe a cat to be a domestic animal and so can not be owned by a person. We also have my son a 4 year old German Shepard that was given to the family by a dear friend. I do not abuse my pets or any animal for that matter, at least not where I come from. I have killed livestock yes. I have taken them to slaughter so you all could eat at mickey D's or so you could have a christmas ham. I have had to put down livestock I considered to be a pet to end their pain. Now if that is abuse I am guilty. Have I ever done anything I consider abusive to an animal, no. I have never did anything for the pure plesure of seeing an animal in pain or torment.

Pro Hosters is going to be around for a lot of years to come. As for Ted, he always has a spot at Pro Hosters unless he decides he does not want the job any longer. That is his choice, he has shown his devotion to customers and his ability to do his job as a professional and that is all I ask from anyone that is a part of the Pro Hosters Team. Despite what some of you might want to claim, he did not kill a cat, he did not abuse a cat (according to a court of law) I have no reason to consider replacing Ted. Why would I replace a person of his skill, experiance in the hosting industry and his commitment to the company and it's customers? I know also that some of you would leave Pro Hosters if Ted did, I want to thank everyone that is that loyal to a person they do business with. Those emails show a great deal of support for Ted.

As a business man would I replace Ted..... Do I look "nucking futs"?

I will admit that to be part of the team at Pro Hosters it does take a special kind of person, one who has the drive to succeed, one that has the ability to think on their feet, the common sense god gave us all and the ability to use it. They have to put the customer first and be willing to give the commitment required to keep the customers happy with the services we provide. Be devoted to building their future and the companies future. No Pro Hosters is not looking for people that just want to draw a paycheck we are always looking for people that want a real career and a future.

49% could be considered less than majority but that is still money in his pocket. It would be better spent on a company who makes donations to support things such as animal shelters rather than have their employee shoot animal abuse footage and post it.

For all i know the profits PH sees which then goes into Teds pockets could be funding animal abuse sleeper cells.
