If you had a choice between a two word name...let us use for example...productshere...or a three word name such as buyproductshere...is the shorter name always the better name?
Opinions appreciated.

Yes if its a difference between having BUY in front of a product domain and not, its always better to have a 2 word domain and not 3. I cant think of a single case where having a 3 word domain is better than 2
But if you're that concerned buy both domains but put a site up on a shorter 2 word domain.
Short domains tend to get more type-in and memory traffic with the exception of the use of "Free" on the front which has tremendous pulling power.
It's clearly easier to brand a shorter name, again with a couple exceptions.
It also depends on the useage.
For example:
CheapUsedCars.com has certain advantages over UsedCars.com.
I think the real cutoff is when you go past 3 words and its remarkable how many people register 4 and up domains thinking they are going to be great moneymakers.
